Itinerary
Day 1:
A Wild Africa Safari Co Land Rover will collect you at 6:00am for the 550km drive to Sabi Sand Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, home to the “Big 5”. This reserve is home to 147 mammal species, over 500 bird species, around 340 tree species and an abundance of reptiles, grasses, and insects.
We arrive in time for a buffet lunch, get settled in, maybe a swim or siesta and after tea it’s off on an afternoon/evening game drive where a stop for sundowners is on the cards. Then its back to the lodge and freshen up before dinner. Evening meals are served in the boma with a central fire weather permitting.
Day 2:
Your experienced game ranger and local Shangaan tracker will share with you their extensive knowledge of the African bush and the thrill of discovering wildlife from the safety of open vehicles. The day starts with an early morning game drive, then after breakfast a bush walk gives you the opportunity to learn about the veld. During the afternoon game drive you will stop to enjoy a sun-downer whilst watching the sun set over the African wilderness, before continuing on a night drive using spotlights to look for nocturnal animals.
Day 3 & 4:
An early morning game drive, breakfast, and the 3 Day safari departs for viewing at the Blyde River Canyon which is the 3rd largest canyon in the world, runs for 60km and is filled with lush vegetation and wildlife. There are a number of viewpoints with excellent views of the canyon. We take in Bourke’s Luck Potholes, deep cylindrical holes formed by the action of the sand and rock carried down by rivers when in flood and the view from God’s Window on the edge of the escarpment.
4 Day safaris repeat the game viewing experience.
Day 4:
